Manages the daily activities of a designated clinical function to ensureeffective and cost efficient health care services. Administers thebudget, supervises staff, and develops business opportunities. Resolvesall operational issues and complaints to promote patient satisfaction. This position is responsible for effectively enhancing the drug therapy outcomes of the patients at the Medical Center. This is accomplished through continual assessment of the appropriateness, safety and efficacy of individualized patient drug therapy and providing recommendations, information and education to Medical, Nursing and Pharmacy personnel and other health care professionals thereby improving the quality of pharmaceutical care received by patients. This individual must also have advanced training, with either 3-5 years experience in progressive pharmacy practice or a Pharmacy Residency. Maintains professional competence through participation in continuing education programs and review of periodical literature. Maintains and provides proof of 15 continuing education credits each year.
